Six german police officers on horseback, half men and half women, plus a great number more regular officers, were deployed on this gray Saturday evening following a Fussball match in Hannover. (that's soccer for all you non-German speakers) The Germans are quite proactive when it comes to policing. I've never seen the likes of it in Canada or the U.S. The day a Nazi group demonstrated in Goettingen there were hundreds of police scattered across the city. Near downtown, where the demonstration was taking place, you could see dozens of officers in full gear (body armor and rifles) no matter where you stood. The best part of it is that they're there mostly to protect the Nazis from the radical anti-Nazis!! Go figure.
